Women Get Their Femininity Back With Tattoos

Women get nipples tattooed in order to feel feminine again

Give women back their femininity with tattoos

After a mastectomy, many women feel imperfect because they lack nipples and feel that they have lost a bit of femininity. You can change that with a tattoo.

But a group of tattoo artists gives these women their femininity back!

Women after breast cancer surgery

If women had their breasts removed during breast cancer surgery, many people affected opt for breast reconstruction with the help of plastic surgery and breast implants.

What plastic surgery cannot do, however, is to reconstruct a nipple and use it to give the artificial breast a natural look.

Medical tattooing uses a combination of tattooing and permanent make-up to try to imitate the nipple or atrium optically.

This technique is also used if, due to accidents or other operations, only part of the atrium or nipple is missing and needs to be visually restored.

In the case of psychological complexes, if, for example, women are not satisfied with the pigmentation or size of their areola and suffer from it, post-pigmentation or optical enlargement by tattooing is also possible.

Requirements for imitation

Women who opt for a medical tattoo have different requirements.

The end result is correspondingly different.

Often, in the course of a breast reconstruction, the nipple and atrium are also reconstructed. For this, one often uses the body’s own tissue, which is similar in color and structure to the original tissue, for example the eyelid or groin.

The origin of this fabric is an important reason for the final result of the optical imitation. Each skin tissue absorbs color differently.

Often the tissue to be tattooed is also scarred by surgery or reconstruction. Which is another challenge for the tattoo artist.

It is also important to understand that an optical reconstruction or imitation is no guarantee that the affected women will really feel better psychologically after the treatment!

However, tattoos can make a significant contribution to helping women regain their sense of femininity.

Who do I contact?

Not every tattoo artist has the knowledge and skills to visually represent and imitate the female breast in a lifelike manner.

Women who are interested in this should keep an eye out for medical pigmenters or medical tattoo artists.

And ask your health insurance company in advance which costs it will cover and which service providers in the vicinity are recommended.

Not every tattoo artist has the right eye for the correct coloring and imitation of the structure.

There is a big difference between drawing a tattoo freely and making a copy of what can be seen on any remaining nipple.

The aim should be to create a deceptively realistic image of nature! And to be able to do that, you really have to specialize in it!

What will this cost me?

It always depends on whether the health insurance company contributes to the costs or not.

In the best case, your attending doctor should deal directly with the health insurance company. Or help you achieve a reduction in costs, if only partially.

Basically, an optical imitation costs around 1000 € per breast. You should be suspicious of offers that are significantly lower.

Before you put yourself in the hands of such a provider, even abroad, make sure that you have sufficiently informed yourself.

When in doubt, stay away from it and rather bite the bullet at the expensive price!

Risks of a tattoo

With a tattoo, no matter what purpose it ultimately serves, certain risks must always be kept in mind.

A tattoo is basically nothing more than millions of tiny skin lesions into which the coloring pigment is introduced.

As with any skin injury, inflammation and infections can result from poor hygiene.

Women who decide to have such a tattoo should inquire in advance which dyes are being used  and whether there may be an allergy to one of the substances used.

It is insidious that some pigments only lead to allergic reactions when exposed to strong sunlight!

There are certain regulations in the EU according to which colors that are used for tattoos must be recognized and tested.

To be sure that the colors are harmless, you can request the certificate and compare it with the serial numbers on the color jars.
