Preliminary remark

To combat hair loss, it is important to avoid salt and dairy products. As a result, these juices and smoothies do not contain any of these ingredients. Salt can be replaced with sea water and milk with vegetable juices.

Smoothie made from oats, fresh nettles and cinnamon

Despite this unusual combination, this smoothie tastes very good. You can collect nettles even with gloves (make sure that they are not soiled and are not directly on the street).  Nettle is rich in vitamins (such as A, C, D, and K) and minerals (such as potassium, phosphorus, and iron), which is  why they are found in many shampoos.

Oats are a very nutritious grain that is excellent for hair and skin care.

Ingredients:

  • 1 liter of hot water
  • 4 tbsp oatmeal
  • 1 handful of fresh nettle leaves
  • 1 tbsp cinnamon (from Ceylon!)
  • 2 tbsp cane sugar

Process all ingredients into a smoothie with a hand blender or blender. If desired, this drink can be sieved to make it finer. Serve cold!

Green smoothie with brewer’s yeast

Green smoothies, which we mentioned in other articles, are great for health and, of course, also help treat hair loss as they are high in vitamins and minerals. We recommend the following combination for this health problem:

  • Spinach: with magnesium, folic acid, pantothenic acid and vitamin C, which are involved in the synthesis of collagen (part of the hair) and help with iron absorption.
  • Avocado: very nutritious, whole food
  • Spirulina or microalgae:  These help to compensate for a vitamin B-12 deficiency, which often leads to hair loss and graying.
  • Brewer’s yeast:  natural nutrient that contains many B-complex vitamins, a considerable amount of important amino acids and numerous minerals.

You can sweeten the smoothie with honey, syrup or agave juice.

Mediterranean juice

This juice contains typical Mediterranean ingredients, but all of them are very useful in preventing hair loss.

  • Ripe tomatoes
  • Onion: rich in sulfur
  • fresh basil leaves: powerful antioxidant
  • virgin olive oil
  • Apple Cider Vinegar
  • a splash of sea water to replace the salt

This juice is drunk chilled as a starter before lunch.

Almond, fig and cocoa smoothie

This smoothie is tasty for the whole family and provides the body with large amounts of magnesium and zinc. It is very nutritious and high in energy, so we recommend drinking it in the morning.

  • 1 liter of water
  • 2 handfuls of raw almonds that have been soaked in water for at least 2 hours
  • 1 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 4 fresh figs (or dried figs, which also need to be soaked)

Mix all ingredients with a hand blender or blender. If the figs aren’t sweet enough, shaking the smoothie can add a little more sweetness.
