Apple Cider Vinegar

  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 glass of water (200ml)

Procedure

Mix both ingredients and take a glass three times a day. You can double the amount once you get used to the vinegar taste. It cannot be more, however, as vinegar reduces the potassium levels in the organism.

Lemon juice

Red fruits

Cherries, blackberries and other red fruits are also excellent against increased uric acid levels. You can alternate with different fruits:

  • 1/2 cup of cherries daily for 2 weeks
  • 1/4 glass of cherry juice
  • 1 cup of blackberries or strawberries

This remedy is very useful but should not be taken for more than 2 weeks. It is also not advisable for people with high blood pressure. People over 60 should only drink 3 glasses a day.

olive oil

Fiber and carbohydrates

Note, however, that several high-carbohydrate foods contain purines.

  • orange
  • full grain

Carbohydrate foods:

  • rice
  • Whole wheat pasta
  • manioc
  • Quinoa
  • potato
  • oats
  • banana

More advice

These natural remedies are effective, and you should also note the following to reduce uric acid levels more quickly:

  • Limit or avoid alcohol consumption until urine levels return to normal.
  • Avoid fructose-rich foods and artificial sweeteners.
  • Some exercise prevents fat deposits, which promote increased uric acid production.
  • Prefer unprocessed products like fresh fruits and vegetables.
