Tips for a narrower face

First, use a good facial cleanser for your usual beauty ritual. When the skin is clean and free of grease and dead skin cells have been removed from the lips, the make-up can be applied more easily and it will last longer.

Then the following steps are carried out:

1. Primer: balance between lighter and darker areas

Make-up tips

You have probably heard of the technique of “ contouring ”. This emphasizes the face with shading in such a way that the facial features are modeled.

At first glance, this can seem a bit over the top or theatrical, but the trick is to adjust the light and dark surfaces in such a way  that the desired result is achieved without seeing the transitions. The make-up should look completely natural.

It is important to know your own facial features well. We invite you to try this technique without overdoing it. This is how you can get a  narrower face .

How is makeup applied to refine facial features?

For this you need the following products:

  • Correction pen against dark circles
  • Foundation in a color adapted to your skin type
  • Foundation that is two tones darker than your natural color
  • Brightener
  • Make-up fixer and shimmering powder

Start by applying the correction pen to the area under the eyes to cover up shadows under the eyes.

  • Then the natural primer is applied and distributed well. It is best to use a product with a sun protection factor.
  • Then you work on those areas that help make the face appear narrower. Apply the darker make-up to the area between the ears and cheeks (as shown in the picture above.)
  • Then shade the area between the temples and jaw and under the chin. Use your fingers to gently blend the shades.
  • Now the brightener is used: Experts know that the middle forehead area, the middle of the nose and the line on the jaw must be lightened to achieve the desired results. This can fool the eye by distracting attention from the wider areas.
  • Finally, you fix the make-up or finally apply shimmering powder.

2. Cat eyes to create an elongated look

eyes

This makeup always goes down well. You just use an eyeliner to make up your eyes like a cat, like a classic pin-up girl. Ideal for refining facial features and achieving a narrower face.

Eyeliner

  • Use a primer first to cover up small wrinkles or imperfections.
  • Then you make up the eyelids with natural or beige tones.
  • Now draw a well-defined line with the eyeliner directly over the lashes. In order to achieve the cat shape, it is sufficient to simply extend the line in the outer corner of the eye slightly upwards.
  • Finally, use a beige pencil to draw the lower eyeliner. The result is wonderful.

3. Lengthen your eyebrows

eyebrows

This make-up tip is fundamental and very effective if you want to achieve a narrower face. Densely populated eyebrows make the face appear more pointed,  as they fill open areas.

This makes the look expressive, the upper facial expression is particularly emphasized.

eyebrows

  • Start by brushing your eyebrows upwards with a special brush.
  • Now you use a brow pencil and draw a fine line in the direction of the hair growth, which you then smudge with a brush to fill in any gaps. The result is wonderful!

4. Blush on the cheeks

The blush is also very important to make the face appear narrower. Always choose pink or orange tones.

The blush is applied just below the cheekbones,  slightly at an angle (like an inverted triangle).

5. Lips with natural color or gloss

Lips

In order to achieve a balanced appearance, the eyes and cheeks get more expressiveness with this make-up, the lips should therefore not be made up with a darker shade.

  • Use a soft pink or beige shade. A colorless gloss is also recommended. This gives your lips a natural, soft look.
  • The darker tones that are used for contouring as well as the cat’s eye attract attention and make you attractive, making the face appear finer and more radiant.

Try to implement these make-up tips yourself, you will see that it is not difficult at all and works great.
